About the Role
As part of the continued development of our Operations team, we are looking for an experienced Sea Freight Specialist with a background in sea freight and freight forwarding.
We are looking for a customer- and results-oriented professional with strong organizational and coordination skills, who can efficiently manage international sea freight shipments and maintain effective relationships with customers, carriers, and business partners involved in the logistics process.
The position involves a high level of responsibility and autonomy, as well as the ability to manage multiple shipments and operational situations simultaneously.


Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in sea freight, freight forwarding, or logistics operations.
• Solid knowledge of international sea freight processes and procedures.
• Experience managing FCL / LCL shipments is considered an advantage.
• Good knowledge of sea freight documentation and related procedures.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and business partners.
• Strong customer focus and a solution-oriented approach.
• Good negotiation skills and a strong results-oriented mindset.
• Ability to analyze situations and anticipate operational risks.
• Resilience and the ability to perform effectively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP / TMS / CRM systems is considered an advantage.
• English – intermediate/advanced level (mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requests and prepare competitive quotations and commercial offers for sea freight services.
• Identify and propose the most efficient logistics solutions based on customer requirements.
• Manage and coordinate international door-to-door sea freight shipments, from order placement through final delivery.
• Manage operational communication with customers and ensure a consistent flow of information regarding shipment status.
• Provide customers with professional advice regarding sea freight services, routes, and available options.
• Maintain effective working relationships with shipping lines, carriers, agents, business partners, and suppliers.
• Continuously monitor shipments and proactively communicate relevant updates to customers.
• Identify, escalate, and promptly resolve unexpected situations arising during the transportation process.
• Negotiate commercial terms with partners in order to secure the best solutions for both the customer and the company.
• Review and manage documentation related to sea freight shipments.
• Enter, verify, and maintain accurate shipment and customer information in the company's internal systems.
• Ensure compliance with internal operational and commercial procedures.
