Mandatory:

• Experience with Linux (installation, partitioning, user management, configuring the network interfaces);
• Networking knowledge (OSI layers model, VPNs, TCP/IP model, difference between TCP and UDP, basic information about VLANs);
• Email: Working knowledge of the SMTP protocol and in managing e-mail systems (Postfix, Courier, etc.)
• Proxies & Load Balancing: Knowledge in configuring and maintaining Apache and/or HAProxy to manage web traffic, including basic load balancing and reverse proxy setups.
• Certificate Management: Experienced in managing SSL/TLS certificates, including installation, renewals (e.g., Let's Encrypt/Certbot), and ensuring secure connections across all services.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge about server hardware (CPUs, memory channels, RAID controllers and HBAs);
• Storage knowledge (RAID levels, Optional - SAN protocols (iSCSI, FC), NAS protocols);
• Knowledge about virtualization (VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM, Virtualbox, Proxmox);
• Familiarity with the command line (Linux, Windows, switches).
• DNS: Practical experience configuring and maintaining A, CNAME, MX, TXT, and SRV records across standard providers, including the ability to troubleshoot propagation and resolution issues.

• Configure, monitor and maintain operating system software plus third-party system tools, applications and products;
• Investigate, respond and solve support requests;
• Perform software upgrades and new software installation;
• Set up new users’ accounts, certificates and profiles and deal with password issues;
• Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs.
