Steel Structure Supervisor

At least 5 years of practical construction experience in the Oil & Gas and Power Plants sectors.
Recent experience (within the last 3 years) in a Steel Structure Supervisory position.
Proficient in English, with German language skills being an advantage. Excellent planning, organization, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are required.
Demonstrated leadership, motivation, and technical capabilities within a team environment.
Soft Skills and Competencies:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in English is required; German is advantageous.
High motivation and focus, with a commitment to delivering projects on time.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and embrace change.

Education Requirements:
A High School Diploma in a Technical Sector is required, with familiarity with standard codes (ASTM, I.S., B.S., etc.).

This position requires regular site attendance.

Other Specific Requirements:
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering construction drawings.
Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).

The Steel Structure Supervisor oversees the execution of steel structure construction activities within oil, gas, and power plant projects, working closely under the direction of the Steel Structure Superintendent. This role is crucial for managing both subcontracted and directly hired teams, ensuring strict adherence to HSE standards and quality control measures. The supervisor plays a key role in the installation and disassembly of piperacks and steel structures, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with the project's drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure strict compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulations related to health, safety, environment, security, and quality.
Provide leadership to foster a project execution team that adheres to quality standards and project specifications.
Coordinate the full spectrum of activities, from the receipt of project materials to the completion of erection activities, ensuring seamless operation and execution.
Manage on-site steel structure activities, effectively coordinating between foremen and helpers, whether subcontracted or directly hired.
Maintain detailed reports on progress, manpower, and equipment status, collaborating closely with the Steel Structure Superintendent to assess and fulfill resource needs timely.

Detailed Responsibilities:

Certify all personnel for specific tasks, ensuring compliance with on-site entry training and certifications.
Establish a construction team that meets HSE and quality assurance requirements.
Implement health and safety plans on-site, engage in waste management practices, and uphold the stop work policy as necessary.
Guarantee that project activities and equipment meet the project's requirements in terms of quantity and quality.
Efficiently allocate human, material, and tool resources, setting daily activity schedules to optimize workflow and coordination among various work areas.
Organize workers for tasks in line with project drawings and procedures, ensuring every team member can perform their assigned scope of work.
Facilitate material inspections and collaborate with the Material Controller and QA/QC department for quality assurance.
Supervise equipment integrity and maintenance, ensuring all personnel are appropriately certified.
Prepare and report on manpower, equipment, and tool utilization to the Steel Structure Superintendent, assisting in the identification and resolution of on-site interferences.
