Migration Engineer (B2B Possible)

The ideal candidate is a medior to senior engineer with strong Python skills who can design and maintain automation scripts for data migration and system integration across enterprise tools. They have hands-on experience with structured data transformation (XML/JSON), APIs, and migration validation, and are comfortable working with complex toolchains and debugging existing systems. Experience with ALM tools (e.g. DOORS, Codebeamer) and ReqIF is a strong advantage, along with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.

We are looking for a Migration Engineer to support data migration and integration activities across enterprise systems. This role focuses on Python-based automation, data transformation, and system integration (not a data analytics role).

Programming Skills

• Python development (required)
  • Experience writing automation scripts and data-processing pipelines
  • Working with APIs, command line tools, and file processing (XML, JSON, ReqIF)
  • Debugging and maintaining existing Python codebases
• Version control
  • Git workflows, branching, debugging historical change

Data Migration & Data Transformation

• Experience migrating structured data between systems
• Understanding of:
  • schema mapping
  • data transformation logic
  • validation and reconciliation after migration
• Knowledge of XML structured data

Integration & Automation

• Experience integrating enterprise tools via:
  • CLI tools
  • APIs
  • scripting interfaces
• Building automation scripts for bulk operations
• Logging, error handling, and batch processing

Big advantages:
