IT Server Provisioning Engineer

This is an IT Server & Storage Provisioning Engineer role within the Emerson Service Delivery and Operations Organization. You will have ownership of the technical provisioning of the On Premise Server and Storage service as defined by Emerson IT in EMEA. You also will be responsible to deliver agreed levels of services to internal customers and to use associated applications, tools, technology and infrastructure supporting delivery of these services in an ITIL encouraged environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will be:
* To be responsible for the technical provisioning of the On Premise Server and Storage services in EMEA
* Be able to understand how applications interact at a high level to recommend possible centralization and consolidation to cloud;
* Provide the Server & Storage low level design and bill of material according to the existing Service standards;
* Provide detailed documentation regarding what was discovered and the plan for implementation for each project;
* Apply the right technical configuration in collaboration with the Server & Storage Operation team;
* Collaborate with subcontractors in promoting the right practices and standards to guarantee smooth rollout and efficient transition to the Server & Storage Operation team after cutover;
* Be instrumental in any Go-No Go decision, ensuring Business continuity.

For This Role, You Will Need:
* Education to degree level or equivalent, but experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
* Demonstrable experience in Server & Storage technical rollouts;
* Clear understanding of virtualization technologies (i.e. Nutanix, VMware, HCI);
* Clear understanding of MS Windows technology as it relates to application’s interaction;
* Good understanding of LAN/WAN (Cisco/Fortinet) as it relates to server/application traffic, VLANing, reading port configs
* Effective communicator, required
+ Excellent documentation and procedure writing skills.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical business audiences.
+ Ability to manage challenge of remote communications through multiple tools (Instant Messaging, e-mail, phone, project management interface).
+ Diligent listener who can understand the diversity of needs across a variety of businesses.
* Proficiency in business English (speaking and writing).

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
* ITIL or equivalent awareness or certification;
* Some basic understanding of cloud (OCI, Azure, AWS);
* Previous experience in a matrix organization
* Open mind and flexible demeanor towards the ambiguity inherent to a large-scale IT organization
