The primary objective of this role is to administer, maintain, and optimize a Windows-based IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and operational continuity across on-premises data centers and cloud environments through expert-level systems administration, proactive monitoring, and end-to-end infrastructure lifecycle management.

Main activity's:

  • Active Directory & Domain Services: Administer and maintain Active Directory across multiple domains, following best practices for OU design, replication, trust relationships, and domain controller health. Manage DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy infrastructure end to end.

  • Group Policy Design & Maintenance: Design, implement, and maintain GPO policies across the organization. Ensure consistent security baselines, desktop configurations, and compliance enforcement through well-structured policy hierarchies.

  • Microsoft 365 & Entra ID Operations: Manage Office 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and collaboration tools. Handle operational tasks such as MFA resets, license management, and user lifecycle operations. Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) integrations - including AD sync, enterprise application registration, SCIM provisioning, LDAP integrations, and Kerberos authentication.

  • Windows Server Administration: Manage Windows Server environments (2016 and later) across production workloads. Perform OS-level troubleshooting, Windows Firewall configuration, IIS administration, and system performance analysis.

  • Security Patching & Compliance: Own the Windows security patching process end to end - from patch assessment and scheduling through deployment (Intune / WSUS) to verification and reporting. Coordinate patching cycles with stakeholders and maintain patching documentation.

  • Virtualization & Backup Infrastructure: Administer VMware virtualization platforms hosting Windows workloads. Manage backup and restore operations using VEEAM and Commvault, ensuring data protection and recovery readiness for critical services.

  • Monitoring, Incident Management & Service Desk: Monitor infrastructure health and respond to incidents, outages, and service interruptions. Resolve infrastructure incidents (INC), prepare incident reports, and maintain the incident log. Collaborate with colleagues across Digital Solutions departments to resolve tickets (requests and incidents) on the ServiceNow platform.

  • Automation & Scripting: Leverage PowerShell for automation of Active Directory management, user provisioning, reporting, configuration tasks, and operational workflows. Build reliable, repeatable scripts to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.

  • Project Participation & Change Management: Participate in the design, analysis, evaluation, and implementation of infrastructure projects (local and global). Prepare scheduled maintenance windows, notify stakeholders, monitor progress, and update maintenance registers. Develop test plans with defined test cases and expected outcomes, and prepare acceptance reports (PV) for major changes and TLC projects.

  • Documentation, Knowledge Transfer & Asset Management: Document existing solutions and maintain up-to-date documentation for all managed services. Ensure knowledge transfer - both written and oral - to technical team members and stakeholders. Manage assets including user accounts, licenses, email accounts, SharePoint sites, file servers, and shared folders.

  • Business Alignment & Continuous Improvement: Collect business requirements and propose solutions aligned with budget constraints. Integrate technical requirements into Terms of Reference and verify technical offers. Propose improvements to departmental activities, processes, and IMS (Integrated Management System) operations.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 4+ years of experience in Windows infrastructure administration or related roles

  • Strong Active Directory expertise — domain controller management, replication, OU design, DNS, DHCP, and GPO

  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016+ administration and troubleshooting

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams) and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) — including sync, enterprise app registration, SCIM, and LDAP/Kerberos integrations

  • Proficiency in PowerShell for automation and AD management

  • Experience with VMware virtualization and enterprise backup solutions (VEEAM, Commvault)

  • Solid understanding of IIS administration and Windows Firewall management

  • Experience with security patching processes and tools (Intune, WSUS)

  • Familiarity with ITIL-based incident management and service desk workflows (ServiceNow)

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and structured, methodical thinking

  • Good documentation habits and ability to follow change management processes

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with multi-domain Active Directory architectures across business units

  • Exposure to hybrid identity scenarios (on-prem AD + Entra ID coexistence)

  • Experience preparing technical specifications for procurement

  • Understanding of IT security baselines and compliance frameworks
