- Practical knowledge of construction permitting procedures and approval workflows.
- Experience in the real estate development, urban planning, architecture, or construction sector is considered an advantage.

- Experience using project planning and project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Primavera, Asana, Monday.com, or similar).

The Urban Planning & Permitting Manager is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the permitting process across the company's real estate development projects. The role oversees the entire permitting lifecycle, including maintaining project schedules, tracking approval milestones, identifying potential delays, and coordinating all internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects progress according to the established timeline.
This position serves as the central point of coordination for all permitting activities, providing visibility into project status and ensuring timely communication with management.
Key Responsibilities
Permitting Process Management
- Develop and maintain detailed permitting schedules for each development project.
- Monitor the progress and timelines of all permitting stages, including Urban Planning Certificates, Zoning Plans (PUZ/PUD), permits, approvals, and Building Permits.
- Track the status of each milestone and continuously update project timelines.
- Identify potential delays, escalate risks proactively, and coordinate actions to remove bottlenecks.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate architects, urban planners, designers, engineers, and external consultants involved in preparing and submitting permitting documentation.
- Liaise with public authorities and relevant institutions to facilitate the permitting process and monitor statutory timelines.
- Coordinate document flow among all stakeholders to ensure each stage starts on time and progresses efficiently.
- Act as the central point of contact for permitting status across the company's project portfolio.
Reporting
- Prepare regular progress reports for the CEO, COO, Commercial Director, and Board.
- Present updated permitting schedules, project status, critical milestones, and any deviations from planned timelines.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure permitting records remain current and organized.
Portfolio Management
- Manage permitting activities across multiple development projects simultaneously.
- Prioritize tasks according to project deadlines and critical milestones.
- Ensure consistency in planning, reporting, and execution across the entire project portfolio.
