Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

* Fundamental knowledge of endpoint management concepts such as deployment, imaging, packaging, patching, testing, support, etc.
* Very Good knowledge of Windows Active Directory and the Windows Operating system
* Good knowledge of Linux Operating Systems (AIX would be a plus)
* Good knowledge of end-point management tools and processes (ie. Bigfix, SCCM/SCOM/MECM).
* Good knowledge of scripting tools (examples include. Powershell, Python, BASH, Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
* Previous experience with Virtual Desktops Management would be considered a plus (Citrix, AWS Workspaces, MS Virtual Desktop)
* Previous Experience and Understanding of ITIL practices and framework would be a plus.
* Ability to manage workload effectively and efficiently and establish priorities.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize, escalate, and communicate issues.
* Ability to work independently with minimal guidance with attention to detail and follow-up.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong customer service orientation
* Basic understanding of Cloud Computing concepts such as VPCs, Directory Services, Identity and Access management, networking (subnets, natting, etc) would be a plus.

Job Title: Specialist, IT Infrastructure

Summary

The primary responsibility of the Global Endpoint Engineering Specialist will be to build, script/automate, maintain, upgrade, test and continuously improve endpoint computing images for servers, Workstations and Virtual desktop environments in the Celestica landscape. This role will focus on the end point user experience as well as all aspects of ensuring the ongoing reliability, performance and security of the various endpoint operating environments at Celestica. This includes (but is not limited to) monitoring and keeping up the operating environments, Browser Strategy, responding to incidents & problems, deployment of new technologies as well as design, installation, configuration, maintenance and the testing of images on PCs/Laptops or Servers and related utilities. Other responsibilities include troubleshooting problems as reported by users or local support, reporting, programming, support and the evaluation, replacement and decommissioning of related software and services.

Detailed Description:

Perform tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
* Scripting for automated builds of Server, Virtual Desktop and workstation Images/environments. (Operating Systems, OS Hardening, Applications and Security Tools)
* Creation and regression testing of Server, Virtual Desktop and Workstation Images
* Patch management (deployment, reporting, troubleshooting).
* Work closely with Local Site IT teams to gather requirements and perform testing, debugging or software troubleshooting on managed Windows images and environment.
* Deployment, management and support for Virtual Desktop environments (such as Amazon Workspaces, Citrix, Microsoft Remote Desktop Services and Azure Virtual Desktop).
* Executing and Fine tuning application and package deployment on Celestica's Endpoint Management system.
* Endpoint Deployment (Software and Hardware).
* Management and support for standard PCs (Laptop / Desktops - Mostly Windows) in a high speed enterprise environment.
* Responsible for Browser Strategy and Policy (level 2 Support)
* MFA Workstation Integration Support Creating and maintenance of operating procedures and metrics reports.
* Explore opportunities for continuous improvement, to improve operational quality and efficiency. (ie.Automation of tasks by packaging or scripting.)




Physical Demands

* Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
* Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
* Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer, etc.) are frequently required.


Typical Experience:

3 to 6 years of related experience. Experience in similar job roles

Typical Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer science or related
