QUALIFYING CRITERIA

C.I.B.T.A.C. I.T.E.C & C.I.D.E.E.S.C.O qualified
Must hold current massage therapy certification
Previous spa experience preferred.
Elemis Skin Care knowledge and training an advantage.
Experience of 5-star hospitality an advantage.
Knowledge of reflexology an advantage.
Good organisational skills.
Strong team player
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Positive attitude, cheerful and courteous demeanour.

Ability to work flexible hours.
Ability to remain calm whilst under pressure.
Additional languages an advantage.

To provide a series of beauty treatments to enhance the physical appearance and, sometimes health of a client's face and Body. A therapist might also provide treatments that relieve tension and boost mental Well-being.

Liaises with: Front Desk, Reservations, Concierge

MAIN DUTIES
Arrive to work on time, appropriately groomed and in the correct uniform.
Perform facials and other skin care services based on the packages our customers choose using Elemis Skin Care and Natura Bisse products.
Perform makeup application, lash and brow treatments and tanning treatments.
Apply wax depilation, body electrical and mechanical treatments.
Upsell lotions, creams and other skin care products.
Clean, maintain, and sterilise tools and equipment.
Maintain cleanliness of workstation and/or treatment room throughout shift.
Provide 30, 60- and 90-minute massages to clients by appointment.
Assess clients' soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength and range of motion.
Assess physical condition of client to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
Develop and propose client treatment plans that specify which type of massage are to be used.
Administer therapy to clients using hands or physical treatment aids.
Confer with client regarding their medical histories and problems with stress or pain to determine how massage can be most helpful.
Maintain treatment records.
Massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body to provide treatment for medical conditions, injuries or wellness maintenance.
Perform other adjunctive therapies or treatment techniques in addition to massage.
Prepare and blend oils and apply the blends to clients' skin.
Use complementary aids, such as infrared lamps, wet compresses, ice and whirlpool baths to promote clients' recovery, relaxation and well-being.
Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanour at all times.
Respond to customer issues, complaints, problems in a quick and efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service.
Participate in training programmes as required.
To understand that laundry procedures for setting up treatment rooms must be followed at all times.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel which can include day, evening or weekend shifts.
HEALTH & SAFETY
To fulfil your obligations under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1989 and any revisions or additional legislation made thereto.
To ensure that reasonable care is taken for health and safety of yourself, other employees, guests and any other person on the premises.
To keep your work area tidy and safe and report any hazard, accident, loss or damage to management.
To be aware of trained first-aid personnel on the premises and the location of first aid box.
To observe all safety rules and procedures, including those laid down in the Health & Safety Statement for your place of work.
To carry out and promote fire and accident drills as directed by the hotel safety officer.
