About Our Client
Our client is an established player in the energy and industrial engineering sector, delivering complex projects in hydropower generation and electrical infrastructure. They operate on large-scale, high-stakes installations and are known for their technical rigour and project discipline.
About the Role
We are looking for a Field Assembly Manager to lead the coordination and execution of assembly activities on a hydropower modernisation project. This is a senior, site-based role for an experienced engineer who combines deep technical knowledge of hydroelectric plant systems with strong project management and contract control capabilities. The role requires full-time, on-site presence in different countries.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate assembly activities on-site, facilitating communication between suppliers and the assembly team to ensure efficient execution
Develop and continuously update the project activity schedule, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met
Manage the interface between the end client and assembly operations, including full logistics management of the construction site
Negotiate contract addenda and produce regular progress reports, identifying issues and proposing solutions
Monitor and control project costs, ensuring spend remains within the planned budget
Ensure full compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards throughout all site activities
Manage project risks and opportunities — maintaining strict adherence to the contracted scope of supply while proactively anticipating risks and mapping opportunities
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
Solid experience in hydroelectric plant modernisation projects, including substations, automation systems, and electrical auxiliaries
Strong planning skills and strategic vision for risk and opportunity management in short-duration generation asset modernisations
Proven project management experience with a clear focus on contract compliance and cost control
Clear and objective communication skills, both written and verbal
Full availability to work on-site in Tucuruí, Pará — this is a non-negotiable requirement
Nice To Have
Experience managing multi-party coordination on large-scale energy infrastructure sites
Familiarity with contract management and negotiation of scope changes in EPC or service contracts
Previous exposure to client-facing roles on utility or generation asset projects
Strong reporting and documentation discipline
What's Offered
A high-impact, senior site leadership role on a major hydropower modernisation project
Opportunity to work with an experienced international engineering team
On-site position with full project immersion from day one
