🚢 We’re Hiring: Shipping Assistant 🚢

📍 Location: Jucu, Tetarom Industrial Park, Cluj County
🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 08:00 – 16:00
➡ 1 day/week work from home

About the Role

We are recruiting for our client — an international company based in Jucu, Cluj County — a Shipping Assistant who will play an important role in coordinating transport and logistics activities, ensuring that all shipments are prepared, documented, and delivered on time and according to company standards.


Qualifications and Skills:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar field.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Logistics, Business, or related field).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP/TMS systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude and problem-solving mindset.
  • Customer-oriented and adaptable to fast-paced logistics environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate shipping details and storage costs to customers when applicable.
  • Update sales orders in the ERP system (Epicor) with transport and storage costs.
  • Check unpaid orders, inform customers, and place shipments on hold when necessary.
  • Ensure on-time dispatch, according to order confirmations.
  • Prepare and verify all shipping documentation (invoices, packing lists, CMR, airway bills, certificates of origin, customs declarations, etc.).
  • Issue UIT codes for each loaded truck.
  • Coordinate daily with freight forwarders and carriers to schedule and monitor shipments.
  • Archive shipment communication and documentation per internal procedures.
  • Support customs clearance processes when needed.
  • Assist Sales Support Engineers with quotations, lead times, and cost estimates.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization in logistics operations.
