Knowledge and experience with installation, upgrade, and configuration of HyperV virtual server systems;
At least 3 years of experience with small enterprise IT Environments at 2nd or 3rd Support level.
Proven expert with at least 3 years’ experience in at least one of the listed areas:
- Windows Sever Administration (Win 2003 – 2016)
- Veritas NetBackup 7.7.3
- NetApp Storage or Dell EqualLogic Storage Systems
- Monitoring Tools e.g. PRTG, Solarwinds
- Cloud Solutions e.g. Office 365, Amazon AWS, SaaS, IaaS
- Dell Hardware for Enterprise.
Experience in ITIL-based IT Organizations (certificate preferred)
Fluent in English.
Providing support of company’s server environments including, but not limited to, issue resolution, customer/core installations and server monitoring;
Following the established operations procedures to ensure timely resolution or escalation of issues;
Acting as liaison for internal and external communications directly with departments as required;
Providing regular status reports and gather requirements from departments and provide input into the infrastructure products that are bought or built;
Documenting operational procedures, develop and oversee project plans and implement change control procedures;
Interacting with customers at the technical level, as required;
Performing Microsoft server installations and upgrade of existing server installs;
Upgrading server hardware and software components as required;
Installing, upgrading and configuring network printing, directory structures, rights, security, and software on file servers;
Installing and configure Active Directory, group policies, DNS, DHCP, IIS;
Installing backup and anti-virus systems for servers;
Installing add-on components such as Exchange Server, SQL Server and Terminal Services.
