A Senior L&D Specialist is now required within the existing Learning & Development function at TELUS International Romania. On this role, you will report to the Senior L&D Manager and will be involved in all Learning & Development initiatives as we continue to support and add value to development at TI.

The role involves a split responsibility between administrative support, needs assessment analysis, learning design and implementation, and training delivery – both classroom and virtual delivery.


  • At least two years of experience in training/ L&D/ teaching profession
  • Experience in virtual training delivery
  • Fluent oral & written English language skills
  • Experience in designing and delivering leadership development and human skills training
  • Train the Trainer course of equivalent / other professional degree in the field of learning/training
  • Studies in Learning & Development / HRM / Organizational Psychology or equivalent working experience
  • Good understanding of the L&D industry and trends, learning technology & associated tools
  • Instructional design - across both leadership development and human skills sessions
  • Experience in designing and delivering human skills training, in either classroom or virtual delivery mode
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with the audience
  • Experience with coaching and facilitation skills
  • Ability to measure training results and overall impact of learning
  • Be self-motivated and passionate about personal development, learning & growth
  • People driven, with a strong motivation to support and develop others
  • Ability to solve problems and to work with minimal oversight, work as part of highly collaborative global team
  • Ability to multitask and to manage/prioritize own time

  • Work quickly and efficiently
  • Have the capacity to coordinate multiple training programmes at any one time
  • Have previous experience with change management
  • Proven ability in process improvement
  • Proven strong work ethic
  • Be resilient, open to feedback and suggestions
  • Be comfortable working individually on projects and within a team environment

Responsibilities (including but not exclusively):

  • Support the delivery of the TIR L&D strategy, programs and priorities
  • Work closely with the Senior L&D Manager and other members of L&D team to assist in the implementation of global programs and other local L&D events and initiatives
  • Build relationships with individuals at all levels, across all business areas, specifically in Operations and Support/Admin functional areas, and the extended Global Learning Excellence team
  • Establish and maintain a solid understanding of the L&D curricula and its relation to the development needs of the organization
  • Take ownership of the implementation of specific global projects and/or the launch of new learning initiatives as part of the Global Learning Excellence strategy
  • Conduct needs assessment discussions and analysis for specific training programs and events
  • Design eLearning programs in the organization’s learning management system (LMS)
  • Design and deliver leadership development, and human skills training sessions as required, e.g. time management, feedback training, etc
  • Support the administration and delivery of new hire induction when needed
  • Measure training programs results and overall impact
  • Provide reports on learning initiatives, completion rates, etc.
  • Support the Senior L&D Manager in identifying external training providers and maintain the relationship with these
  • Support the roll-out of global learning initiatives as required
