Requirements:

• Solid knowledge of the SAGA accounting software – mandatory
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role (ideally in an accounting or professional services firm)
• In-depth knowledge of accounting and tax legislation
• English – intermediate level
• Proficient in Excel / Word
• University degree in economics / accounting
• Attention to detail, rigor, and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team
• Reliability, adaptability, communication skills, planning, and ability to work under pressure

Key Responsibilities:

• Verifying and fully recording accounting documents (purchases, sales, bank, cash, expense reports, etc.)
• Preparing and reviewing VAT journals and VAT returns
• Reconciling accounting accounts and preparing trial balances
• Monthly account closing, including calculation of taxes and duties
• Preparing, completing, and submitting periodic tax declarations (including SAF-T)
• Preparing annual financial statements and internal reports (where applicable)
• Managing issued/received invoices and updating customer and supplier accounts
• Reviewing expenses, payroll documents, and cash transactions
• Preparing financial reports (e.g. cash flow) as requested by portfolio clients
• Communicating with clients for balance reconciliation and clarification of discrepancies
• Maintaining client relationships and liaising with tax authorities on their behalf
• Ensuring compliance with deadlines and legal requirements for accounting and tax reporting
