Qualifications: CECCAR member; ACCA is a strong plus.

English skills – intermediate to advanced (written and spoken).
Excel skills – intermediate to advanced.
Advanced knowledge of accounting software – Winmentor; experience with SAP, Navision, Ciel or other ERP systems is a plus.

Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Accounting Consultant to join our Accounting & Tax Compliance Outsourcing team in Bucharest. You will act as a trusted partner for our clients’ finance teams, ensuring accurate and compliant accounting and tax reporting, while coaching junior colleagues and contributing to process improvement and digitalization.

What will you actually do?
Main responsibilities
Manage full accounting processes for assigned client portfolios (end-to-end accounting exercises).
Review and validate accounting entries prepared by junior team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Ensure that all records, transactions, reports and documentation are compliant with Romanian accounting and tax regulations.
Prepare and/or review tax returns and related computations (e.g. VAT, Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax), ensuring accurate and timely submissions and settlements to the state budget.
Take responsibility for cash disbursements, expense recording and petty cash reconciliation in accordance with Romanian accounting and fiscal regulations.
Analyze, check and prepare accounting records and reconciliations for the above-mentioned transactions.
Work closely with Assistant Managers, Managers, Directors and Partners to deliver high-quality outputs for clients.
Secondary responsibilities
Offer support during yearly audits by preparing documentation, answering queries and addressing audit findings.
Coach and support junior accountants in developing their professional competence and understanding of accounting and tax concepts.
Contribute to process improvement and digitalization initiatives (e.g. better use of ERP systems, automated postings, OCR tools).
Help maintain and strengthen client relationships through reliable delivery and clear communication.
