Hard skills:
•Foundational understanding of descriptive statistics and probability theory is desirable, particularly in the context of operations research and data science

Education:
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

Purpose of the role:
The Scheduling and Slots Manager optimizes the profitability, operational resilience, asset utilisation and feasibility of the schedules for Wizz Air bases; while securing and managing airport slots to support the company's growth strategy.
Responsibilities:
Schedule Design
•Optimize the profitability and operational resilience of each base’s schedule, while maximising the aircraft and crew utilisation.
•Collaborate with Revenue Management and Network Development teams to enhance revenue potential and assess feasibility for network or capacity changes.
•Liaise with Ground Operations, Flight Operations, Operations Control, Maintenance, and Crew Planning teams to ensure schedule feasibility and minimize operational costs.
• Load and manage flight capacity into operational and reservation systems.
• Collaborate with the Customer Experience team to manage schedule changes.
Airport Slot Management
•Secure airport slots for seasonal schedules.
•Manage current slot historic rights and secure new slots to protect Wizz Air’s future position in congested airports.
•Provide analysis on airport capacity and strategies to maximize growth opportunities in congested airports.
Process Improvement
•Increase team efficiency by automating tasks and developing new processes.
•Enhance the team’s data-driven approach with analytic, optimization, and simulation models.
