The Technical Supervisor (Welding) is responsible for overseeing all welding operations, ensuring quality standards, safety compliance, and efficient execution of welding activities in accordance with technical specifications and project requirements.
🎓 Requirements
Proven experience in welding supervision
Knowledge of welding processes and fabrication activities
Ability to interpret technical documentation and drawings
Familiarity with international welding standards (ASME, AWS, ISO)
Experience in preparing and handling ISCIR documentation, including compliance with Romanian regulatory requirements
Ability to coordinate inspections and ensure documentation readiness for authorities
🔧 1. Supervision & Coordination
Supervise daily welding activities on-site or in the workshop
Coordinate welders and fabrication teams to meet project timelines
Assign tasks and monitor workforce productivity
📐 2. Quality Control
Ensure all welding work complies with approved procedures (WPS/PQR)
Inspect welds visually and coordinate NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) where required
Identify defects and ensure corrective actions are implemented
📋 3. Technical Compliance
Interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and specifications
Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ISO, AWS)
Maintain proper documentation and welding records

Enforce safety regulations and PPE usage
Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings
Ensure safe handling of welding equipment and materials

Monitor welding equipment condition and maintenance

Coordinate material availability with procurement/logistics
