What are we looking for?
Education: Bachelor’s Degree/ Master's Degree in: Mechanical/ Material/ Chemistry Engineering, or similar
Experience: 2 years in a comparable technical or related role
Languages: English B2
Technical Skills: basic knowledge of welding standards and process – will be considered a plus
IT Skills: advanced use of Microsoft office package
What else should you know? You will have the opportunity to travel abroad based on the projects you will work on. In the first phase training will be customized mainly in Pipeline Technology Center in Romania to understand PIPTEC process and technology. Possible mission onboard to understand the Vessel reality and PIPTEC strategy. The training has the target to create competence for tendering phase mainly and it can be possible for future application on execution project.

Work Location: Saipem Romania, Aricestii Rahtivani, Prahova
This position is adressed to applicants already resident and with valid work permit in Romania at the time of application.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide Welding or Field Joint Coating support to all engineering disciplines to comply with contractual requirements and with the updated technological criteria;
- Evaluate Client/End User tender documents and requirements relevant to metallic or coating materials and associated fabrication process;
- Select the best process and technology ensuring accuracy in line with Client/End User requirements and SAIPEM strategy;
- Prepare and issue preliminary Welding/ FJC documents for assigned project or bids;
- Prepare/update Welding/ Field Joint Coating General Specifications and Standards, PMI Specification, technical specifications or consumables, NDT table for piping/pipeline construction welds;
- Prepare welding/ coating qualification matrix and WPS for offshore welds;
- Review welding documents (WPS/PQR), welding repair and heat treatment procedures issued by Manufacturer/Vendor or coating specifications;
- Define and witness trial tests and associated costs;
- Prepare qualification plan and associated costs;
- Calculate cycle times and raw material consumption and relevant costs.
