About the Company

Our client is a Swiss-owned recycling company currently scaling up its operations in Deta, Romania. Following the successful production start-up phase, the company is now expanding operations toward a multi-shift production environment and is looking for a strong on-site Production Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing activities.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building structure, optimizing production flow, and managing teams in a growing industrial environment.

Position Overview

The Production Manager will be responsible for coordinating and supervising daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and smooth shift organization.

The ideal candidate is a mechanical engineer with solid production planning capabilities, strong people management skills, and previous experience managing a small-to-medium-sized manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily production activities on site
• Manage production teams and shift organization
• Ensure production targets, quality standards, and KPIs are achieved
• Optimize workflows, machine utilization, and operational efficiency
• Support the ramp-up from one-shift to multi-shift operations
• Monitor production planning and resource allocation
• Collaborate closely with maintenance, logistics, and management teams
• Implement and maintain health & safety standards
• Identify operational bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure discipline, accountability, and a positive working environment on the shop floor
• Report directly to company management

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
• Proven experience in a Production Manager or Production Supervisor role
• Experience managing production teams in an industrial/manufacturing environment
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Hands-on mindset with operational focus
• Experience in production ramp-up or fast-growing environments is considered a strong advantage
• Good leadership and communication abilities
• Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented personality
• English communication skills required
• Romanian language mandatory
