PuntoUP Recruitment Agency is recruiting an Industry Manager - Food & Feed for a chemical and ingredient distribution company that is part of an international group. The role gives you commercial ownership of the food ingredients and feed additives portfolio in Romania and combines application know-how with consultative sales. Location: Bucharest / Ilfov - national coverage, with travel within Romania

Main Purpose of the Job: The Industry Manager - Food & Feed develops and grows the company's business with food, beverage, and animal nutrition producers. The role covers the full commercial cycle: identifying customer needs, offering technically and regulatorily sound ingredient solutions, developing the portfolio with supplier partners, and managing key accounts for sustainable margin growth.

Job Profile:

• Drive sales and gross margin growth within the food ingredients and feed additives portfolio.

• Identify new business with food, beverage, and animal nutrition producers in Romania and manage a structured sales pipeline.

• Grow relationships with existing customers and achieve sales, margin, and growth targets.

• Prepare and negotiate commercial offers, pricing agreements, and supply contracts.

• Visit customers regularly and build relationships with purchasing, R&D, and quality teams.

• Provide application consulting on functional ingredients, preservatives, acidulants, sweeteners, flavor systems, proteins, starches, vitamins, minerals, and feed additives.

• Support customers in product development, reformulation, and cost optimization projects, coordinating sampling, trials, and documentation.

• Ensure commercial activities comply with EU and Romanian food and feed legislation, HACCP, and GMP+ requirements.

• Develop the portfolio locally and at group level by evaluating and onboarding new suppliers and product lines.

• Maintain relationships with supplier partners and support joint business planning and reviews.

• Monitor market and consumer trends (clean label, plant-based, sugar reduction), regulations, and competitors.

• Represent the company at trade fairs, industry events, and supplier conferences.

• Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and regular reports, and keep CRM/ERP data accurate.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science/Technology, Chemistry, Agronomy, Animal Nutrition, or a related field (preferred).

• Several years of experience in sales, application support, or business development in food ingredients, feed additives, or a related industry.

• Experience in chemical or ingredient distribution and working with supplier partners is a strong advantage.

• An existing network within the Romanian food and/or feed industry is highly desirable.

• Solid understanding of food/feed ingredient functionality and applications.

• Familiarity with EU and Romanian food and feed legislation, quality documentation, and HACCP principles.

• Proven track record in business development and consultative selling, with strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Entrepreneurial, self-driven working style and strong business acumen.

• Fluent Romanian and English; additional languages are a plus.

• Willingness to travel within Romania and occasionally abroad.

• Valid driving license (category B).
