HSE/Fire Safety Specialist – Construction Site, Targu-Mures, Draganesti-Olt, Tulcea, 7000 RON

Position Purpose:
Coordinate and implement Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and Fire Safety prevention and protection activities in accordance with applicable legislation and the specific requirements of the organization and its clients.

Responsibilities:

Continuously assess the risks of accidents and occupational illnesses, and monitor the implementation of prescribed measures;
Analyze the work environment, processes, equipment, and activities to identify situations that could cause accidents, illnesses, or material losses;
Prepare and update specific HSE and Fire Safety documentation (training materials, activity-specific work instructions, reports, etc.);
Monitor compliance across the company and construction sites, and verify the correct implementation of prevention and protection measures;
Conduct regular inspections, including on company construction sites, to verify the application and compliance with HSE and Fire Safety legislation;
Carry out internal inspections and audits, identify non-compliances, propose corrective actions, and follow up on their implementation;
Strengthen the HSE and Fire Safety culture by raising employee awareness about the importance of complying with occupational health, safety, and emergency regulations;
Collaborate with relevant authorities (Labour Inspectorate, Fire Department, etc.) to ensure legal compliance;
Collaborate with clients to ensure compliance with legal and contractual requirements;

Requirements:

Completed higher technical education – a degree in civil engineering is an advantage;
Solid experience of at least 3 years in coordinating HSE and Fire Safety activities on construction sites;
Certified HSE Specialist, according to COR 226302 (advanced level);
Certified Fire Safety Technical Officer, according to COR 541902;
Strong knowledge of HSE and Fire Safety legislation;
Category B driving license;
Willingness to travel within the country to company construction sites;
Intermediate level of English;
HSE Risk Assessor Certificate (240-hour postgraduate course) – considered an advantage;
Certified HSE Coordinator, according to COR 226303 – considered an advantage.
