Group Financial Reporting – Hospitals Medicover Romania

Your Mission

To provide accurate, insightful, and timely financial analysis and reporting for our hospital in Cluj, supporting both local management and the Group Finance team in data-driven decision-making. You will contribute directly to budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring, ensuring efficiency and compliance with financial standards.

What you will do:

• Monthly financial reporting by translating statutory reports into group reports according to IFRS and group standards and procedures.
• Analyse data to ensure proper accounting procedures, correct cost allocation, and alignment with IFRS and local GAAP.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and provide actionable insights for hospital management and Group Finance.
• Maintain and develop various financial models and standard templates distributed for use by all of Finance during the planning processes, ensuring quality, accuracy and focused analytic review.
• Track financial performance versus budget and deliver detailed variance analysis across services, departments, and patient categories.
• Monitor cost-control initiatives and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Demonstrate appropriate understanding/working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls and apply them.

What we are looking for:

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• 5–7 years of experience in accounting, with exposure to Controlling/FP&A/Financial Reporting; experience in healthcare or services is a plus.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and Romanian accounting standards; ACCA certification or progress toward ACCA represents a strong advantage.
• Experience in audit (preferably in Big4 or similar environments) is a significant plus.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into actionable operational insights.
• Excellent Excel and data‑modelling skills; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
• Independent worker and analytical thinker with an ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Collaborative, proactive, detail‑oriented, with strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
