Professional Experience
Proven experience in a finance manager, chief accountant, or senior accountant role with significant responsibility.
Hands-on experience in Romanian statutory accounting and tax compliance.
Experience with group/intercompany reporting and fast closing cycles (Background in multinational or international environments is a plus, though not mandatory.
Profiles from smaller companies with broad, autonomous accounting experience are also welcome.
Technical Skills
Strong command of Romanian accounting standards and fiscal legislation.
Proficiency in ERP/accounting software; experience with Infor (Infor 3) or similar ERP is advantageous but not required – full training provided.
Competent in Excel and financial modelling.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Departmental Management
Lead, coordinate, and control all activities of the financial-accounting department.
Manage and develop a team of 2 (Chief Accountant + Senior Accountant), ensuring high standards of performance and professional growth.
Act as the primary point of contact for all finance-related matters within the local entity.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
Prepare and submit the annual general budget (revenues & expenses) for the Romanian entity.
Monitor budget execution and provide variance analysis to local and group management.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare monthly financial reports, financial analyses, and economic forecasts for management.
Deliver monthly intercompany group reporting to Sweden, with closing deadlines within 7–8 working days after month-end.
Prepare monthly cash flow statements, P&L reports, and reconciliation balances (trial balance).
Statutory & Tax Compliance
Prepare and submit all monthly tax declarations and filings.
Prepare annual statutory financial statements.
Liaise with tax authorities (ANAF) and manage all fiscal control interactions on behalf of the company.
Audit Coordination
Act as the key internal person and primary coordinator for the annual statutory audit.
Manage all audit preparation, documentation, and communication with external auditors.
Accounting Supervision
Oversee all accounting operations: journal entries, trial balances, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial records.
Work with accounting software (Medius for invoicing + ERP accounting platform); willingness to learn new systems is essential.
Cash Flow & Treasury
Monitor daily cash flow, incoming and outgoing payments, and credit lines.
Ensure optimal liquidity management and proactive risk identification.
Asset & Inventory Management
Ensure integrity, periodic inventory, and efficient management of company assets.
Prepare inventory and stock reports and analyses as required by management.
Stakeholder Relations
Represent the company in relations with banks, external auditors, and fiscal/regulatory authorities.
Act as liaison with group finance (Head of Accounting and CFO, based in Sweden).
