Job Description
Compliance with 319/2006, 307/21106, 481/2004 and 195/2005 Laws and ISCIR technical prescriptions
- Identifies, interprets applicable EHS regulations and maintains knowledge of laws and regulations affecting the organization's operations
- Advice management on governmental regulation relating to EHS recommends necessary actions to obtain compliance and develops procedures and projects to ensure continuing compliance with EHS regulations and standards
- Maintains compliance with environmental regulations and internal requirements daily, including recordkeeping, monitoring, meeting reporting deadlines, and complying with permit limits and conditions
- Monitors existing and potential EHS concerns, establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards and recommends priorities for resolution. Develops programs for corrective actions and coordinates necessary resources to implement programs
- Assures that safe standards work practices is developed with line personnel and monitors conformance through EHS inspections. Reviews new products, equipment, projects and programs for potential EHS hazards and recommends modifications before introductions
- Develop emergency response plans and lead response teams in emergency situations and investigate major accidents or problems areas and recommend future preventive measures
- Talent/ Resource management: manages the performance of direct reports according to the plant and department strategy Assure implementation of Company procedures and policies for Quality, EHS, and prevention of Fire Hazard
- Represent the plant in front of state agencies, assurance companies, clients and Company audits/inspections on EHS field
- Creates, implements and controls documents/ procedures as specified by the Environmental Management Standards at plant level. Monitors periodic performance reports for trends and conditions and alerts line management to problems
- Submits in a proper manner all necessary reports, statistics and responds to the agencies/corporate correspondence
- Maintain relationships with regulatory, governmental agency personnel and Corporate EHS Department and represent organization at external forums, including periodical meetings with Corporate teams
- Develops EHS training programs and assures that the required training is provided to employees/ managers/ contractors. Is compliant with Internal regulations, Company policies. EHS & fire prevention policies
