Candidatul Ideal
We are looking for a Deputy Legal Director to support the company’s legal and compliance activities and contribute to the smooth running of day-to-day operations across the business.
As Deputy Legal Director, you will work closely with the Legal Director to ensure the company’s operations remain fully aligned with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and internal compliance standards. You will assist in reviewing and drafting legal documentation, assessing regulatory risks, supporting interactions with authorities, and contributing to the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and business-minded legal professional with solid analytical abilities, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in regulatory and compliance matters. Experience in a regulated industry or within corporate legal departments is considered an advantage.
Candidate Profile
· 3–5 years of experience in corporate/commercial law, ideally gained in a reputable law firm or corporate legal department
· Solid understanding of the Romanian legal framework, with exposure to regulated industries; gaming/iGaming experience is a plus
· Experience working with commercial, sales, and lease agreements, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiation
· Familiarity with compliance processes, due diligence, reporting requirements, and regulatory standards
· Direct interaction with public authorities and regulatory bodies
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with high attention to detail
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
· Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment
· Strong command of English (written and spoken)
· Proficiency in legal research and the ability to prepare concise legal or compliance summaries
· Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is an advantage
· A compliance certification represents a plus, but is not mandatory

· Contribute to developing and maintaining internal compliance controls that prevent, detect, and address regulatory or policy breaches
· Monitor the effectiveness of compliance controls and propose improvements based on operational or regulatory changes
· Review internal procedures, workflows, and reports to identify potential risks, gaps, or non-conformities
· Support the drafting, updating, and implementation of internal compliance policies, standards, and procedures
· Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure consistent application of compliance requirements across operations
· Assess new business initiatives and projects from a regulatory and compliance risk perspective
· Provide guidance to colleagues on compliance matters when needed, without assuming supervisory responsibilities
· Participate in internal audits, compliance checks, and process reviews to ensure alignment with applicable laws and internal policies
· Prepare compliance-related documentation, reports, and follow-up actions required by internal reviews or regulatory authorities
· Contribute to strengthening the company’s compliance culture through daily collaboration and cross-functional engagement
· Support the Juridical Director in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts and legal documentation
· Monitor relevant legislative developments and prepare briefings with recommended actions
· Assist in ensuring the company complies with legal and industry-specific regulatory requirements
· Prepare and manage documentation required for interactions with public authorities and regulatory bodies
· Assist in handling legal disputes, pre-litigation matters, and communications with external counsel
· Identify legal risks in contracts or operations and propose mitigation measures
· Maintain an organized legal and regulatory documentation system (physical and digital)
· Support corporate governance processes, including documentation for licenses, permits, and renewals
· Provide cross-department support on legal interpretations and the implementation of legal requirements
