Database Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Engineer

We are looking for a Database O&M Engineer responsible for the daily maintenance, monitoring, and support of database systems to ensure stable and secure operations

Main Responsibilities

Responsible for daily maintenance and management of databases to ensure normal database system operation.

.Monitor database performance, identify and resolve basic faults and performance issues.

Execute database security policies to assist in ensuring data security and integrity.

Provide user support to resolve common database issues encountered during usage.

Assist in writing and updating database O&M documentation to ensure accuracy.

Coordinate with senior engineers and other IT teams for database configuration and integration

Work Experience:
Minimum 1 year of database management and O&M experience
Experience in large enterprises or multinational companies is preferred
Certifications (Preferred)
Familiar with ITIL framework and application O&M best practices
Relevant technical certifications (e.g., RHCE, MCSE, AWS, Azure, etc.) are preferred

Skills:

Familiar with common O&M tools (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana) and automation technologies (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef), with system troubleshooting and performance optimization capabilities.

Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Shell) is preferred.

Database management experience (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).

Good communication and collaboration skills to work closely with development and other technical teams.

Education:
Associate degree (or overseas equivalent) or above in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields.
Language:
Fluent English communication skills for professional verbal and written communication.
Chinese or other foreign languages (Spanish, Malay, German, Arabic, etc.) are a plus, but not mandatory
