Computer Science, ICT and Robotics Teacher

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Curriculum Leader of Computer Science, ICT and Robotics teacher to join a vibrant, diligent and supportive Department where teachers are committed to developing learning strategies which challenge and interest all our students. This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist who is recently qualified or a more experienced teacher to lead and deliver Computer Science, ICT and Robotics from grade 1 to grade 12. Successful experience teaching IB will be an advantage.
Ultimately, you will ensure BBIS personnel develop their IT skills to keep our computer workstations secure.

Responsibilities

Promote high standards in all aspects of school life, particularly in student’s progress
Actively support vision, ethos, culture ︁︀​︂︃︃​︇︂​︁︃︁and policies of the school
Inspire and motivate students, teachers and other school employees
Conduct IT skills gap analyses
Design technical manuals using simple language
Conduct role-specific training on tools and programs each team uses daily
Apply educational methods to engage trainees (e.g. gamification-based platforms)
Train new employees on proper use of hardware and software
Perform regular organization-wide trainings on system security
Evaluate the effectiveness of each educational session
Maintain updated records of training curriculum and materials
Review company policies on computer use and cyber security

Requirements

Proven work experience as an ICT Teacher and IT trainer
Experience designing technical course material
Familiarity with web-based learning platforms and modern educational techniques
Knowledge and experience of how to use of ICT effectively in promoting student learning
Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical terms plainly
BSc in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field
Additional certification in education and training (e.g. Certified Technical Trainer- IB courses) is a plusRobotics
