Civil structural engineer

• Higher education: University - Bachelor degree (Master degree is a plus) in Structural and Civil Engineering.

• At least 2 years of working experience in similar positions in engineering companys.
• Working experience in piping and layout sector, specifically in iron making plants, water & gas treatment, Oil & Gas is a plus.

• Knowledge of main international design code for steel structure and civil works (at least IS, BS EN).
• Ability to develop static calculation model/calculation report.
• Ability to manage all engineering technical aspects of steel structures and civil work projects.

• Static Calculation programs: SAP2000, STAADPRO, ANSYS (not mandatory)
• Navisworks
• Autocad 2D and 3D
• 3D steel tools: Tekla, Advance Steel, Prosteel

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Team player, high motivation, positive, can-do attitude, flexibility.
• Highly effective communication skills with stakeholders & suppliers.
• Fluent in English language. Italian language is a plus.
• Manages time and priorities effectively.
• Works well under pressure – managing internal customer expectations, time constraints etc.

• Available for international business trips.

• Develop static calculation model/calculation report.
• Checking and vetting the calculation model developed by others.
• Management and follow up of external engineering supplies:
  • Perform purchase technical specification for engineering activities.
  • Collect input data for detail engineering executions.
  • Follow up of order, quality and time schedule control.
  • Checking/vetting of external DE based on BE or technical data input.
• Management for all engineering technical aspect of common steel structures supply order:
  • Perform purchase technical specification (including QAP).
  • Follow up of order (engineering aspect only).
  • Check and controls of documentations (i.e. shop drawings, detailed BOQ, packing list etc.).
• Management for all engineering technical aspect of civil work order:
  • Perform technical specification for execution civil works (including QAP).
  • Follow up of civil site activities (engineering aspect only).
  • Check and controls of documentations (i.e. formwork and reinforcement drawings, detailed bar bending schedule etc.).
