Accounting Team Leader

The future employee will handle the day-to-day finance activities and supervise a team of Accounting Specialists and Senior Accounting Specialists within the finance team (General Ledger). Will be instrumental in building and promoting relationships with the served sites, supporting the daily financial and accounting business processes of the group and the standardization thereof whilst maintaining a culture centered on delivering excellent customer service.


In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Leadership and support for Financial Ownership
* Supervise a team of specialists & responsible for the timely Month End closing in the team, ensuring the strict timetable for reporting Financials into HFM (Reporting system) is being followed. Reporting scope includes P&L, Balance sheet, TWC metrics, Headcount and other statistical requirements.
* Reviews together with the Accounting Manager the output/performance/delivery of the team to maintain compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), internal CP&P and agreed SLA.
* Collaborates with the Systems accounting team as needed to implement process design changes or system updates & addresses audit findings to improve compliance and accuracy of transaction processing.

Knowledge Management and training
* Drives the knowledge management within GFS and establishes standards and quality in the overall documentation efforts 
* Ensures onboarding program is maintained. 

People Management
* Manages and develops a team of finance professionals, while maintaining a culture of learning and development in the team.
* Works with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitors and advises on the progress to enhance the professional development.

Continuous improvement
* Maintain process workflows, procedures and management information for all areas under integration phase. Implement standard processes in future integration projects
* Identify areas for process integration improvement, obtain collaborator approval and ensure they are implemented in line with the approved plan.

Various
* Support GFS or global initiatives / projects as and when required.
* Occasional weekend/public holiday working is a requirement of the role.
* Willingness to travel (up to 5% of role).

For this Role, You Will Need:
* University or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and/or Professional Accountancy Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA etc.).
* Fluent English language skills; verbal, reading and writing. Other European languages represent an advantage.
* Minimum 6 years work experience for a large multi-national organization.
* Knowledge of Oracle, SAP, Syteline together with HFM preferred.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel, POWER BI and PowerPoint skills.
