3D Technical Artist

Required Technical Skills

• Proficiency in 3ds Max (Intermediate to Advanced) with strong skills in modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering.
• Experience with Corona Renderer (Beginner to Intermediate) to produce photorealistic images.
• Strong understanding of UVW mapping and unwrapping for optimized texturing.
• Experience with Photoshop (Beginner to Intermediate) for post-production tasks such as color correction and image refinement.
• Basic knowledge of Illustrator (Beginner to Intermediate) for handling vector-based assets when needed.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and product specifications for accurate 3D modeling.
• Familiarity with database navigation and asset management to maintain organized 3D file structures.

Preferred but Not Required

• Experience with 3D animation is a plus.
• Familiarity with WebGL, glTF formats, or real-time rendering is beneficial but not mandatory.

DIY App Content Projects

• Model low/mid-poly cabinets with precision, ensuring product dimensions and details are accurate.
• Apply UVW mapping and unwrapping to optimize textures for web-based applications.
• Prepare, resize, and export optimized 3D models for fast performance in the DIY Kitchen Planner.
• Validate and upload 3D assets to internal databases, ensuring compliance with technical and quality standards.
• Work closely with the Product and Development teams to verify product data accuracy and resolve inconsistencies.

Cabinet SKU Rendering Projects

• Create photorealistic, high-poly renderings of cabinets using 3ds Max and Corona Renderer.
• Set up lighting, textures, and camera angles to produce high-quality e-commerce-ready visuals.
• Ensure color accuracy and material consistency across different cabinet variations.
• Utilize the internal material library to maintain efficiency in the rendering pipeline.
• Perform post-production work in Photoshop, including color corrections and final adjustments.
• Organize and manage digital assets systematically to ensure easy retrieval of completed work.

The 3D Tech Department focuses on two key areas:
Cabinet SKU Rendering – High-resolution, photorealistic renderings of individual RTA cabinets for e-commerce, catalogs, and marketing.
DIY Kitchen Planner App – Optimization of 3D cabinet and door models for seamless integration into our web-based DIY configurator, allowing homeowners to visualize and design their dream kitchens.We are hiring both part-time and full-time 3D Technical Artists to help us produce accurate, efficient, and visually stunning 3D content. This is a fully remote position, which provides flexibility but also requires self-discipline, strong time management, and accountability to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
