CNC OPERATOR/ PROGRAMMER

• High school diploma or equivalent (professional school graduate).
• Minimum 5 years of experience operating CNC mills and lathes in a production environment

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Preparing, setting and familiar with programming in FANUC system, the lathe CNC / milling machine CNC.
• Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points.
• Setsup mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, and attachments.
• Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
• Verifies settings by measuring positions, firstrun part, and sample workpieces.
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations.
• To be able to read the technical drawings, studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and orthographic drawings and to have the ability to create custom programs in Fanuc and to choose the proper tools for machining.
• Main activities are not to replicate series, but to manufacture individual pieces.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures, safety personal protective equipment and regulations.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
• To have individual capacity to organize himself and to perform the machining of the parts.
• To have the flexibility to learn on CNC machines and classic lathe and mill machines, and waterjet cutting machines.
• Autocad, Inventor, or Solidworks knowledge is a plus.
