Vehicle mechanic

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent, and minimum of 6 years maintenance experience.
Areas of experience shall be with one of more of the following: light or heavy duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, power generators, power plants, aircraft or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicle..
• Maintenance , repair, technical experience and background in commercial maintenance or military maintenance
• Preferred areas of experience on non-tactical/commercial vehicle fleets and/or military shall be with light or heavy duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, ground systems, generators, power plants, aircraft or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicle. • Knowledge and proficiency with general automotive tools, shop equipment and diagnostic test equipment.
• Vocational, tehcnical, mlitary formal certificates of training in a related maintenance field may be substituted for equivalent years of experience
• Travel to hostile areas is required. Must be able to meet all government Individual CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) requirements for foreign travel into operational locations.
• Position requires moderate to lengthy travel to various U.S. or overseas locations. We seek flexibility and willingness to deploy to all/any of these locations, including Southwest Asia, South Central Asia and/or Africa. Some OCONUS deployments may be hostile ("war zone") environments.

Conduct regular maintenance on machinery, systems, and automotive vehicles.
Assess vehicles and/or machinery to accurately diagnose and repair issues.
Assemble mechanical components according to specifications.
Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
Ensuring all critical parts are checked and tested.
Performing basic automotive care, including changing oil and rotating tires.
Repairing or replacing worn, old or defective parts of a car.
Design a plan of action for all maintenance tasks and upgrades.
Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary.
Offer consultation on maintenance and preventative procedures to machine and vehicle users.
Perform vehicle assessments and alert clients on issues that will prohibit their vehicles from passing inspection.
Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are always kept in a safe and usable condition.
Adhere to company work safety policies.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
