The Essence of the Role:
As Sommelier, you will curate a wine journey that complements the culinary vision of our kitchen and reflects the character of our landmark property. Every recommendation should feel intentional. Every bottle, perfectly timed. Every interaction, discreet yet memorable.
You will act as guardian of the wine philosophy of The Marmorosch — balancing tradition, innovation, and commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a seamless and refined wine service in the restaurant and during exclusive private events.
- Curate and confidently present wine pairings that enhance the gastronomic experience.
- Engage guests with informed, elegant storytelling rooted in deep product knowledge.
- Maintain impeccable standards of presentation, poise, and professionalism aligned with Marriott luxury service culture.
- Contribute to the evolution and curation of the wine list in collaboration with the culinary and restaurant leadership team.
- Drive wine revenue through intelligent and discreet salesmanship.
- Oversee the organization, presentation, and integrity of the wine cellar.
- Ensure flawless operational execution, stock management, and compliance with quality standards.
- Participate in tastings, continuous learning initiatives, and brand-driven training programs.
