Senior SEO Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior SEO Specialist with proven expertise in driving organic growth for web applications and e-commerce platforms. You are data-driven, comfortable with technical challenges at the intersection of SEO and web development, and focused on delivering measurable results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key qualities and experience

• Experience: 4+ years of professional SEO with demonstrable results in organic growth.
• Strong technical SEO expertise including site audits, crawl optimisation, and performance analysis.
• Proficiency with SEO tools: Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar.
• Deep understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
• Experience with e-commerce SEO including product page optimisation, category structures, and faceted navigation.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript for technical SEO implementation.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
• Experience with conversion rate optimisation (CRO) and understanding of user experience principles.
• Knowledge of local SEO and Google Business Profile optimisation.
• Understanding of mobile-first indexing and responsive design impact on SEO.
• Experience with content optimisation and on-page SEO best practices.
• Familiarity with server-side factors affecting SEO (site speed, redirects, status codes).

In this role, you will develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies that increase organic visibility, drive qualified traffic, and improve conversion rates across web applications and e-commerce platforms. You will work closely with development and content teams to implement technical improvements and deliver measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth technical SEO audits and implement optimisation recommendations.
• Perform keyword research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.
• Optimise website architecture, internal linking, and site structure for better crawlability and user experience.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to implement technical SEO improvements.
• Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals and page experience metrics.
• Create and optimise content strategies aligned with search intent and user journey.
• Track, analyse, and report on organic search performance using data-driven insights.
• Stay current with search engine algorithm updates and adapt strategies accordingly.

Role details

• Job type: Full-Time / Contract.
• Contract: Minimum 12-month engagement, with the possibility of extension based on performance and client needs.
• Location: Remote (Bucharest preferred). This is a true remote position; however, we prefer candidates based in or near Bucharest to enable occasional in-person meetings (for example, quarterly). We will also consider qualified applicants from other parts of Romania and from Eastern European countries.
