PuntoUP Professional Recruitment is looking for a Senior Full Stack Java Developer on behalf of a global technology company that builds a proprietary, enterprise-grade software platform for content efficiency and compliance, used by major customers across top industries. The role sits within the Product Engineering team and covers the full development lifecycle of the platform. Location: Bucharest, Romania, Hybrid working model
Main Purpose of the Job: The Senior Full Stack Java Developer will help evolve and maintain a state-of-the-art, data-driven enterprise software platform, working across the full stack from server-side application logic and database design to front-end interfaces, while collaborating closely with developers, testers, and product managers to deliver high-quality releases.
Job Profile:
Design and develop using Java EE components, including EJB, and integrate the Spring Framework for enterprise-level applications.
Use Hibernate and JPA for object-relational mapping and database management.
Use Apache Solr for search and indexing capabilities within the architecture.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams of developers, testers, and product managers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Design and manage databases, writing and optimizing queries and transactions to enhance application performance.
Work with SQL and NoSQL databases such as Microsoft SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
Build and maintain server-side application logic.
Implement APIs and services using RESTful or SOAP protocols.
Develop user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks such as Dojo, Angular, or React.
Ensure cross-platform optimization and responsiveness of applications.
Write and maintain unit and integration tests using frameworks such as JUnit, Postman, and Selenium.
Manage and resolve technical issues arising during development, deployment, and production, particularly around Java EE, EJB, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, Solr, and WildFly.
Conduct regular code and design reviews to ensure quality and compliance with established architecture and best practices.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of the codebase and system architecture.
Implement security measures to protect sensitive data, using tools such as SonarQube.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Stay current with new technologies and Java development trends, continuously applying new skills to improve development practices.

Minimum 6 years of development experience using Java / J2EE technology.
Extensive experience with Java EE, including EJB architecture, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and JPA.

Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB) and database schema design.
Working knowledge of designing and developing RESTful, SOAP, or Java APIs.
Front-end development experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Microservices development experience.
Solid understanding of and experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Maven.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
