For over 60 years, we have been developing and manufacturing customized, customer-specific applications for the automotive industry in the areas of buckle switches, seat sensors, position sensors, electronics/lighting, and wire harnesses. We also offer services for various other industries. The production line in Romania was opened 10 years ago.
For our Process Development department, we are seeking, starting immediately or by agreement, a Senior Automation Engineer.

Our requirements:
- Degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics/electrical engineering;
- Minimum 5 years of practical experience in automation engineering and production processes;
- In-depth knowledge of modern automation technologies (robotics, control and test engineering, digital production systems) and their integration in a manufacturing environment;
- Confident handling of production cost and investment calculations;
- Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, team spirit, and enthusiasm for innovation;
- Very good command of English, at minimum B2 level.
- A good level of spoken German is considered an advantage.

Your responsibilities include:

- Developing and optimizing automation solutions for new and existing production equipment at our plants in Switzerland and Romania;
- Specifying and introducing new production systems and stations;
- Evaluating new manufacturing processes, including sample/prototype build and evaluation
- Coordinating suppliers and overseeing acceptance tests;
- Optimizing processes with regard to quality, cost, and efficiency;
- Supporting product development to ensure process-appropriate (DFM) design
- Supporting new business, including process concepts, cost estimation, and investment calculations;
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with Development, Quality, Logistics, and Management;
- Preparing make-or-buy analyses and providing technical support on automation topics;
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards (IATF 16949, ISO 14001).
