Join our rapidly evolving FMCG and retail group as a Senior Accountant, CECCAR certified with full statutory signatory rights. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance and Group CFO, you will take full ownership of the accounting cycle and tax compliance. This is a critical role for a technical expert who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with executive leadership to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
Location: Bucharest, On-site (HQ in Calea 13 Septembrie, Marriott, Bucharest)

Candidate Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics or similar.
Experience:5+ years of relevant accounting experience using ERP systems.
Experience in Retail, FMCG, or the fuel station industry is highly preferred.
A background in Financial Controlling is a plus.
Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of Romanian accounting standards and tax legislation.
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are mandatory.
Communication: Fluent in English; able to communicate effectively with shareholders and suppliers.
Traits: Highly organized, analytical, and capable of working independently.

Main Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Reporting
Full Cycle Accounting: Manage accurate recording of AP/AR, journal entries, and General Ledger reconciliations.
Monthly Closing: Prepare the statutory trial balance and deliver complete reporting packages for monthly/yearly closing.
Cash Management: Monitor cash balances, elaborate cash-flow reports, and execute payment processes according to internal procedures.
Retail Specifics: Different report and manage vendor balance confirmations.
Compliance & Strategy
Taxation: Prepare and submit monthly statutory declarations to tax authorities and ensure compliance with local fiscal rules.
Budgeting: Support the Head of Finance in monitoring budgets vs. realized figures and provide financial insights for business decisions.
Process Improvement: Set up and optimize accounting procedures and ERP workflows to support business growth.
