Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our local and international financial team. As a senior accountant located in Romania you will handle the local accounting for our company and will also have the possibility to handle international accounting topics for our group.

What you bring:

• Preferably bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
• At least 5 years of professional experience in financial accounting (especially in general ledger) and CECCAR certification
• Ideally, multinational experience in an accounting environment, knowledge of IFRS is a plus
• Analytical thinking and a structured, reliable way of working
• An eye for topics and processes as well as their potential for optimization
• English advanced – mandatory
• German medium or advanced- nice to have
• Experience with SAP especially Fiori apps is an advantage

This job is available in Romania: fully remote, with flexible working hours.

Your tasks:

• Processing and handling of ongoing accounting, particularly general ledger accounting for Romania
• Posting bank statements and performing bank reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Local GAAP
• Reconciliation of accounts as well as analysis and clarification of discrepancies
• Collaboration with local and international colleagues
• Work in SAP S/4HANA
