We are the distributor of all Volvo and Renault Trucks in Romania and are responsible to operate 10 wholly owned workshops serving both Volvo & Renault Trucks in the country.
Volvo Group Trucks Romania is now hiring a Senior Accountant.
The position is based in Volvo Group Trucks Romania’s headquarter in Bolintin Deal, Highway A1, Giurgiu and reports to Chief Accountant.
Purpose of the job:
The Senior accountant supports all relevant accounting processes, ensuring high quality of reporting baseline and tax compliance, and has the full responsability for for the accounts payable (AP) related activities: posting, payments and reconciliations.
Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 5+ yrs relevant accounting experience
- Proficiency in ERP accounting software, preferable SAP
- High level of PC skills (Microsoft Excel)
- Fluent in English (oral/written)
- Analytical mind-set, highly meticulous, deadline oriented, well oanized
- High level of accuracy and reliabilityrg
- Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact and work with all levels of organization.
Descrierea jobului
- Ensure the accurate and timely recording of AP invoices in compliance with both accounting principles and company policies and procedures.
- Identify and record monthly expense accruals.
- Reconcile accounts payable, address discrepancies promptly and effectively.
- Execute payments processes following the internal procedures.
- Post journal entries including clearing and reconciliation of General Ledger accounts.
- Support all relevant accounting process.
- Prepare and deliver correct, complete, and compliant reports for monthly closing activities, group reporting, internal and external auditors, tax audit performed by fiscal authorities.
- Assist and support in monthly statutory declarations to tax authorities and other public institutions.
- Ensure tax compliance according to local rules and timelines.
- Ensure that an effective control of process is delivered.
- Assist with setup and improvement of accounting processes and procedures.
- Perform with fully transparency and follow Volvo values, Code of Conduct, anti-corruption policy internal regulation and procedures.
