QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for a Automation Engineer who will help grow and mature the quality assurance stage of our product / hardware / software development life cycle. The person will work together with ACROM product teams and external customers to understand their requirements and then organize and coordinate QA activities accordingly.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of QA methodologies, supported by hands-on experience with automated testing platforms. She or he will be organized, will have good communication skills but also a solid technical background.

Experience & Technical Skills
Programming and Scripting
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or other scripting/programming languages for automation.
• Expertise in scripting tools such as Bash, PowerShell, and Perl for system administration and custom solutions.
CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment)
• Hands-on experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI, or CircleCI to automate software development pipelines.
• Proficiency in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, TestComplete, JUnit, or NUnit for automated software application testing.
Systems and Infrastructure
• Experience in server and OS administration, including Windows Server and Linux (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS).
• Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or SaltStack for infrastructure management.
Networking
• Understanding of network protocols and the ability to configure network equipment to support automation system integration.
Databases
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) for storing and analyzing data from automated processes.
Tools
• Version control systems such as Git and SVN for code management and team collaboration.
• Proficiency with IDEs and development environments like IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code, and Eclipse.
Cybersecurity
• Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts to ensure automated systems are protected against vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain automated workflows and solutions for various systems and processes.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline software development and deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation into existing infrastructure.
• Write and maintain scripts for system administration and custom automation solutions.
• Perform automated testing to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Ensure security measures are in place to protect automated systems from vulnerabilities.
• Document processes, workflows, and configurations for scalability and knowledge sharing.
