For This Role, You Will Need:
- University degree in an Engineering field (Automation, Electrical, Telecoms);
- Minimum 2 -3 years of experience in the Automation and/or Networking businesses;
- Proficient in English;
- Experience in projects SCADA or renewables projects participation, budgets preparation, technical offering, technical sales support;
- Knowledge of renewables solutions: SCADA class of the systems / Renewable Power plant / Network;
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Experience in commercial and sales support activities
- Renewable power plant or wind generation technology familiarization
Job Description
As a Proposal Engineer in Cluj-Napoca, you will be responsible for the end-to-end preparation and delivery of technical and commercial project proposals for customers across Europe, within the power plant automation project portfolio. You will collaborate closely with Emerson sales teams to support the pursuit of new business opportunities, ensuring proposals are competitive, compliant, and aligned with customer requirements.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- To ensure understanding, handling and satisfying each requirement or expectation from customers or the company’s partners through remote communication or site visits; acting as a trusted advisor
- To take ownership of the delivering assigned technical and commercial project proposals scope, or sub-scope of large size and/or complex project proposals led by Proposal Manager or Lead, within the portfolio of plant automation solutions and projects, following the standard process; ensure the innovative and efficient solutions are proposed; proactively apply methodologies, resources and techniques for minimizing the proposal preparation effort, whilst maintaining the requisite schedule and quality; ensure partners are proactively informed on the status or any challenges
- To define the efficient Control & SCADA solution for the pursuing project
- To acquire, maintain and actively share knowledge and experience with the team and the more comprehensive organization; supporting the on-the-job development of other Project Proposal Engineers
- To tackle other responsibilities or tasks, including those related to Ethics and Information Security policies within the skills and abilities, whenever reasonably instructed. The business reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments in line with business requirements
