Project buyer (Electronics&Mechanics)

• Completed studies e.g. in electrical engineering, industrial engineering or comparable qualification;
• Experience in the above-mentioned area of responsibility, ideally in the automotive environment;
• Market and product knowledge of electronic and/or electromechanical components and manufacturers as well as purchasing and negotiation experience;
• Negotiating strength and assertiveness, structured work;
• Good problem solving and communication skills;
• Confident, field-tested English language skills;
• Willingness to travel.

• Collecting requirements (Components, material, tools, etc.) from the project, aligning with global strategy and development, qualifying and executing together with the supplier the respective solution;
• Supporting all operative purchasing functions: managing RfQ process for project requirements based on commodity strategy (for Preh specific material groups); preparing the base for supplier award decision (quote comparison) and obtaining approval from the commodity lead buyer and manager of central purchasing; mastering data maintenance (Vendor, material etc.); managing ordering process of samples (price, PO, on time delivery, complaints);
• Offering escalation support for all issues in the project;
• Performing cost calculation for assigned projects based on commodity strategy (Preh specific components).
