• Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, or business preferred
• 3–6+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain roles
• Advanced knowledge of production planning and scheduling principles
• Strong proficiency with ERP/MRP and planning tools
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and prioritization skills
• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and data discipline
• Clear written and verbal communication skills

• Own development and maintenance of complex production schedules across assigned scope
• Balance demand, capacity, inventory, and labor constraints to create achievable plans
• Adjust schedules proactively in response to shortages, disruptions, or priority shifts

• Serve as a subject‑matter resource for planning processes within ERP/MRP systems
• Maintain and refine planning parameters such as lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, and calendars
• Analyze system outputs and override when appropriate using sound judgment

• Identify material, capacity, supplier, or labor constraints impacting production plans
• Develop mitigation strategies such as resequencing, expediting, or alternate sourcing
• Escalate systemic or high‑risk constraints with clear analysis and recommendations

• Monitor execution versus plan and identify root causes of schedule misses
• Analyze trends, bottlenecks, and variability impacting schedule performance
• Provide actionable insights to operations and leadership

• Partner closely with Manufacturing, Production Control, Inventory, Purchasing, and Quality teams
• Coordinate planning decisions affecting multiple work centers or departments
• Act as the primary planning contact for assigned products or areas

• Communicate priorities, constraints, and plan changes clearly and proactively
• Support production and planning meetings with accurate data and recommendations
• Build credibility as a trusted planning advisor

• Ensure schedules and planning data meet governance and internal‑control standards
• Drive consistency and discipline in planning execution and documentation
• Support audits related to production planning and inventory controls

• Identify opportunities to improve planning accuracy, responsiveness, and stability
• Support or lead implementation of planning process, system, or standard‑work improvements

• Provide guidance and informal coaching to Production Planner I and II roles
• Review schedules, analyses, and assumptions for quality and rigor
• Support onboarding and skill development of new planners
