Descrierea jobului

The Procurement Buyer is responsible for managing the procurement process for the organization, including identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of the Raw Materials / Packing Materials. The Procurement Buyer will also be responsible for managing vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

The role is centered around the following activities:
  • Supplier management;
  • Stakeholder management;
  • Contract management;
  • Supply Risk management;
  • Procurement driven projects (cost savings and added value projects);

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a business portfolio with critical direct raw materials and packing, with medium to high complexity in sourcing and high impact on business continuity. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities;
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best terms and pricing;
  • Manage vendor relationships, including addressing any issues, concerns or formal claims that may arise;
  • Monitor and manage the delivery of goods from suppliers to ensure timely arrival;
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including those related to procurement and vendor management;
  • Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities and transactions;
  • Provide insights at request or at own initiative regarding quantitative and qualitative developments, like input for category spend or own portfolio, forecasting, budget, contract coverage, payment terms, complaints;
  • Collaborate and have contacts with relevant stakeholders throughout the entire organization and with external parties, local as well as global with direct functional counterparts to guide the decision making process.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and/or added value (like value engineering) and drive the implementation of such opportunities;
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments to ensure the organization is taking advantage of the most current and cost-effective options available;
