REQUIREMENTS

• Accounting firm experience: 3+ years in an accounting firm (multi‑client environment) or demonstrably equivalent multi‑entity delivery exposure.
• "Nivel balanta": you have independently handled bookkeeping, month‑end close and trial balance review for multiple companies/entities.
• "Nivel bilant": you have independently prepared and filed annual statutory financial statements under Romanian accounting regulations.
• Consolidations: group‑level reporting exposure
• ANAF: you have independently prepared and submitted ANAF filings in practice (not only assisted/reviewed) and supported ANAF tax inspections by preparing documents and written responses
• Languages: fluent English (written + spoken) for client communication; Romanian proficiency for local compliance documentation and statutory requirements
• Systems:
  • working proficiency in collaborative tools and strong spreadsheet skills as listed above
  • data visualisation tools: Power BI / Looker Studio (or similar)
  • RPA / automation tooling experience beyond basic flows: in the last 12 months, you have used/developed own RPA/software robots (e.g., 4Secunde, Power Automate Desktop, UiPath or similar) to automate repetitive accounting workflows
  • Typing speed above 40 words per minute, as certified by independent tests such as https://10fastfingers.com/typing-test/romanian
  • Time-saving: in the past 6 months, you have imported bank transactions from a CSV statement into an accounting system (instead of manually entering transactions from PDF/paper statements)
• Professional conduct: confidentiality, accuracy, strong deadline ownership, proactive risk escalation. Two positive referrals from previous employers
• Qualification track: CECCARCAFR/CCF/ACCA/CFA student/member

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring a hands‑on Accountant for a multi‑client accounting firm (international + local portfolio). The role is delivery‑focused and requires consistent performance at:

• Trial balance level (accurate bookkeeping fully inline with legislation and procedures, month‑end close, reconciliations, quality controls), and
• Statutory financial statements level (annual and interim packages under Romanian accounting, and
• ANAF compliance execution (recurring filings and supporting documentation).

We operate cloud‑first (shared platforms + standardized workflows). We are also in a transition period toward a dedicated client portal. During the transition, you will work with structured, collaborative Google Sheets workflows (used as an operational dataset), so comfort with advanced spreadsheet controls is essential.
Location: Bucharest (Piata Victoriei area) – on‑site
Contract: Full‑time, indefinite (probation period as per Romanian law)
Firm: Romanian Financial Network (part of Piroi™, Member of TIAG | TAG Alliances)

COMPENSATION
€1,000–€1,350 net/month (indicative, depending on experience & qualifications) + meal vouchers. A monthly performance bonus may apply after trial period (currently structured as 10% of optional services personally delivered, paid based on invoiced & collected services; final terms confirmed in writing). Remaining ACCA exams cost covered.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Full‑cycle accounting for a defined portfolio (multi‑client): postings, reconciliations, month‑end close, and trial balance review.
• Trial balance quality control ("nivel balanta"): identify and correct posting/reconciliation issues; maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• ANAF compliance ownership (as applicable per client): prepare and submit required declarations (e.g., VAT returns, SAF‑T/D406 and other filings depending on the client’s profile), with clear support files and deadline discipline.
• Statutory work (“nivel bilant”): prepare/support annual statutory financial statements packages under Romanian accounting regulations (and interim reporting where applicable).
• Client communication: professional written and spoken communication in English with international stakeholders; concise documentation of decisions and next steps.
• Process discipline: execute work via standardized checklists, a shared compliance calendar, and structured evidence (portal/DMS-style storage).
• Efficiency & automation: contribute to workflow improvements (Power Automate / Make / Zapier / UiPath or similar) and to robust spreadsheet-based controls during the portal transition.

HOW WE WORK
Cloud-first collaboration
You are expected to work comfortably in shared cloud tools with simultaneous editing (e.g., Google Workspace and cloud accounting systems), rather than exchanging standalone Excel files by email.
Transition period: structured Google Sheets operations
Until the client portal is fully rolled out, part of the operational reality is maintaining structured datasets in Google Sheets and working with software robots. This requires you to be comfortable using spreadsheets as a controlled operational tool and as automation tools. In practice, you should be confident with:

• Pivot tables
• VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
• Conditional formatting
• Data validation
• QUERY/IMPORTRANGE
• Doc/mail merge based on templates
• Online forms for standardized data collection
