Junior Category Manager – Grocery (Achizitor)

Purpose of the Role
As Category Manager – Grocery, you will be responsible for maximizing company turnover and profit by driving the development and performance of the grocery category. You will define the assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies to ensure a competitive and customer-focused offer on the market.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• University degree, preferably in Economics or Marketing.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in category management or purchasing within retail/FMCG.
• Proven experience managing grocery or dry food assortments.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and planning skills.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the grocery category strategy in line with company objectives.
• Manage the assortment, pricing, and display policies for your product range.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to optimize commercial conditions and increase category margin.
• Analyze sales results, category profitability, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
• Coordinate promotional campaigns and ensure timely execution of category plans.
• Monitor product availability, losses, and category performance in distribution centers.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (sales,marketing, logistics, operations) to ensure strategic alignment.
