The role combines technical consulting with solution selling and gives you commercial ownership of the water treatment portfolio in Romania. Main Purpose of the Job: The Industry Manager - Water Treatment develops and grows the company's business in industrial and municipal water treatment. The role covers the full commercial cycle: understanding customer processes, recommending technically sound treatment solutions, developing the product portfolio with supplier partners, and managing key accounts for sustainable margin growth.

Job Profile:

• Drive sales and gross margin growth within the water treatment chemicals and solutions portfolio.

• Identify new business opportunities in industrial and municipal water treatment and manage a structured sales pipeline.

• Grow relationships with existing customers and achieve sales, margin, and growth targets.

• Prepare and negotiate commercial offers, pricing agreements, and supply contracts.

• Analyze customer processes and design or optimize chemical treatment programs for cooling water, boilers, wastewater, process water, and drinking water.

• Support water testing, system inspections, field trials, and technical demonstrations at customer sites.

• Troubleshoot operational issues and provide technical reports and recommendations.

• Develop the product portfolio by evaluating and onboarding new suppliers and product lines, and maintain relationships with existing principals.

• Monitor market trends, competitors, and regulatory developments (EU Water Framework Directive, Romanian environmental legislation).

• Manage key industrial and municipal accounts, run business reviews, and handle complaints together with internal teams.

• Represent the company at industry events, technical seminars, and trade fairs.

• Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and regular reports, and keep CRM/ERP data accurate.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical, Environmental, or Process Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).

• Several years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or business development in water treatment or the chemical industry.

• Hands-on experience with industrial water treatment systems (boilers, cooling towers, wastewater treatment) is highly desirable.

• Experience in chemical distribution and working with supplier partners is a strong advantage.

• Solid understanding of water chemistry and the ability to propose suitable treatment solutions for industrial processes.

• Knowledge of water testing methods (pH, conductivity, corrosion control, microbiological parameters) is an advantage.

• Familiarity with EU and Romanian environmental and water regulations.

• Proven track record in technical solution selling, with strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Entrepreneurial, self-driven working style and strong business acumen.

• Fluent Romanian and English; additional languages are a plus.

• Willingness to travel within Romania and occasionally abroad.

• Valid driving license (category B).
