HSE Officer

• Experience in performing Internal audits;
• Monitor and implement HSE Management System;
• Consistent knowledge of permit work system.

This position is adressed to applicants already resident and with valid work permit in Romania at the time of application.

Overall Purpose

The HSE engineer plays a key role in ensuring that all HSE regulations are implemented and maintained at the Saiem facility. A key part of the role is to ensure the consistent implementation of Saipem standards, thereby fostering a culture of safety and ensuring day-to-day operations are safe and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and audit if processes, procedure and HSE Management system are implemented according to the internal regulations and Saipem PTC activities are carried out in a safe manner; supports and/or conduct internal audits.
• Act as an internal consultant towards local management in all HSE issues;
• Assisting and supporting with HSE inputs during the tendering process for all PTC related services and equipment procurement;
• Serve as a focal point contact for all HSE matters within the Saipem PTC;
• Coordinate the implementation of HSE inspections program;
• Manage the Personal Protective Equipment program, providing input to the needs analysis and support in selection of the equipment;
• Review and check the operational procedures from HSE point of view;
• Monitor HSE performance, KPIs and provide regular reports to the leadership;
• Develop, coordinate, and conduct HSE trainings, as needed;
• Responsible for record incidents, HSE assessment and HSE action items into the Saipem internal reporting system;
• Participating as HSE authority in incident and accident investigations and ensure learnings are compressive and transferred across the organisation in order to minimize recurrence;
• Contribute to the implementation of the annual based Saipem HSE Plan;
• Know and apply the Romanian legislation, Saipem Policies and strategies on HSE and fire prevention issues;
• Maintain and keep updated HSE procedures in compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001;
• Involved in developing, implementing, monitoring, modifying and executing the HSE policies, procedures and objectives;
• Responsible for developing of required related HSE documents (HSE Convention, Emergency Response Plan, etc);
• Monitor the activity compliance with the specified requirements, in health, safety, environmental protection, fire prevention regulation applicable;
• Perform HSE Risk Assessments;
• Deliver initial and periodical HSE & Fire Prevention training.
