Distribution Site Manager

For this exciting new operation, we are looking for an experienced Distribution Site Manager who will take full ownership of the site’s performance, lead the operational ramp-up, and build a strong, high-performing organization from day one.

You will play a key role in setting up and stabilizing a new distribution center dedicated to a well-established international retail business with a dynamic, high-volume supply chain environment.

What we are looking for

• Several years of experience in senior operational leadership roles within logistics, warehousing, distribution, or supply chain
• Proven track record in managing large-scale logistics operations or distribution centers
• Experience in site launches, start-ups, greenfield operations, or major ramp-up environments will be a strong advantage
• Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, performance management, and operational controlling
• Experience in budget ownership and cost management
• Ability to define, monitor, and improve operational KPIs
• Strong leadership skills with experience in building and developing teams in a dynamic environment
• Hands-on approach combined with strategic thinking and strong business acumen
• Continuous improvement mindset; Lean Management knowledge is highly desirable
• Strong customer orientation and the ability to build trust-based business relationships
• Resilience, adaptability, and confidence in making decisions in a fast-changing environment
• Very good command of English
• University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field

Your responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the operational management of the distribution site, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery
• Lead the site ramp-up phase and establish stable, scalable warehouse and distribution operations
• Build, lead, and develop the on-site management team and broader operational structure
• Manage site budget, cost performance, productivity, and operational profitability
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective and improvement actions to achieve operational targets
• Ensure service excellence and maintain strong working relationships with the customer
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse, distribution, and support processes
• Ensure compliance with internal standards, local regulations, and Health & Safety requirements
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, HR, Finance, and IT
• Support the implementation of strategic projects and operational best practices within FIEGE
• Report directly to the relevant Operations Director / senior regional leadership
