Role Overview:
As a Development Lead, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end development of scalable, secure applications in a regulated banking environment. You will act as a technical authority, mentor engineers, and ensure that solutions meet performance, security, and compliance standards.
Minimum 10 years of overall experience in software development is required, with strong depth in .NET ecosystems and modern architectures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Leadership
• Lead the end-to-end design and development of scalable and secure applications
• Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines
• Act as the technical authority for .NET, frontend, API, and database design
• Review code, mentor developers, and drive continuous technical improvement
Architecture & Development
• Design and develop applications using .NET / .NET Core / C# / React (JavaScript / TypeScript)
• Design and implement RESTful and/or event-driven APIs
• Implement microservices or modular architectures where appropriate
• Ensure clean architecture, SOLID principles, and proper design patterns
• Integrate with third-party systems, payment gateways, and internal banking platforms
Banking & Domain Context
• Work with systems involving:
o Transaction processing
o Security and data privacy
o Regulatory and compliance constraints
• Ensure performance, availability, and auditability requirements are met
Data & Persistence
• Design and optimize relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and high availability
Collaboration & Delivery
• Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Support Agile / Scrum delivery, estimations, and sprint planning
• Participate in production support and incident resolution when required
MUST HAVE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Technical
• Strong expertise in .NET / .NET Core / C#, with minimum 5–7 years of hands-on development using these technologies
• Solid experience with API design (REST, authentication, authorization)
• Deep understanding of relational databases and SQL
• Strong knowledge of security best practices, including:
o Auth
o JWT
o Encrypted communication via TLS / SSL protocols
Leadership & Way of Working
• Proven experience in leading and building development teams
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong self time-management skills and ability to organize own work as well as delegate effectively
• Hands-on mindset — able to step in and actively contribute when things get difficult, not just delegate
• Ability to identify people’s potential and guide them toward long-term success in tech engineering through mentoring, feedback, and practical advice

• Cloud experience, preferably Azure
